Traditional dance art is an important part of Sri lanka's cultural heritage.These dance arts have been passed down from generation to generation since ancient times.Traditional dances are performed at religious festivals.The dance traditions of Sri Lanka include Kandyan,Low country and Sabaragamuwa dance.All three dance styles use drums.

Kandyan Dance,


        This dance from developed with the Kandy region as its main center.This dance is very important during religious festivals such as the Dalada perahera.The main instrument is the Geta Bera.


Low country Dance,


         It develop in the Gall and Matara areas.

                     👉     Katharagama 👈 Katharagama is a place I love to visit.This place is located in the Monaragala District of the  Uva Province.This is a place rich in religious and cultural heritage.This is a sacred city respected equally by Buddhists,Hindus,Muslims and christians. The annual Katharagama Perahera is one of the most famous religious festivals in Sri Lanka.I really like to watch this Perahera because it lasts for 15 days.   The Menik River is another feature that adds beauty to Katharagama. Katharagama Kiri Vehera is my favorite place.This is one of the places frequently visited by both local people and tourists. 🙏🙏💗💗🙏🙏
